  3. "Heavy Disguise" is definitely the A-side of the Canadian release. The Canadian a-side is numbered "" and Benedictus is numbered "". The US single doesn't identify the A-side, but the / numbering is the same: the lower number is usually the A-side - compare the US "Man Who Called Himself Jesus ()/Poor Jimmy Wilson ().
  4. Vinyl album: AMLH (A&M, UK, Feb ). Triplefold sleeve (one of if not the first!) with lavish booklet, both designed by Paper Tiger - arguably (IMHO) one of the best packaged albums ever! Inner spread is huge depiction of the wanderer in silver on background of rainbow colours.
  5. Jun 11,  · Not that easy to describe. Is it power pop? HF certainly has a good feel of the Strawbs, and has strong lyrics and tunes. Better, IMO, than much of the later pop-oriented Strawbs material. Yes, perhaps more could have been made of the boxed set. And I hope one or more of these albums gets reissued on vinyl.

Heavy Disguise (BBC Sounds Of The 70s 19/4/) New World (BBC Sounds Of The 70s.

Sandy had quit The Strawbs in November/December She was certainly gone before mid-December as by that point they’d gigged with Sonja Christina on vocals.
